WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Deaf and hearing people who want to understand and create a better working environment that is more inclusive of the needs of both deaf and hearing co-workers. This applies to formal and informal situations. It is aimed at people at every level in organisations, to ensure that there is sustainability of the concept throughout.
COURSE AIMS:
Part One, aims to encourage people to start thinking about how they can change from working as
a group of individuals and come together as an organised group of deaf and hearing people to achieve tasks and goals. The course is unique as it is about coming together in an organised way and overcoming communication barriers for the good of all.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Introduction to leadership traits of :
Cognizance and cultural intelligence - getting to know each other.
Collaboration- working as a diverse team
Curiosity - how differences and experiences enable the growth of a team and the;
'I Expect Support' framework for Inclusive teamwork and;
An Introduction to the Negative and Positive Communication Cycles - the key aspect binding the inclusive practice of deaf/hearing people working together
PRE-COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Completing Part 1 enables you to move on to Part 2: Understanding How Inclusive Teams Work
ACCOMMODATION & MEALS:
This booking will include tea/coffee breaks and lunch on both days.
Accommodation is NOT included.
