The event has been supported by our partners and the National Lottery. Todays webinar is sponsored by Sign Solutions.
Toby started his career on the graduate fast-track programme at Unilever and then moved to The Economist magazine working through the ranks in their financial team to become Chief Financial Officer Publisher Team. According to his LinkedIn profile he now holds two roles; Chief Financial & Operating Officer at Fastmarkets. The Royal Association of the Deaf were also fortunate to have him as their chairperson. Toby has experienced first hand the assumptions that deaf people are not capable of taking senior roles in mainstream institutions and it all began when his career aspirations were dismissed by a school teacher. Toby is excited to be sharing his experiences with us and you will learn a lot from his talk. Come and find out what makes him proud to be Deaf and why he does not think he would have progressed so far in his career if he was not Deaf – That’s an interesting thought to leave you with!
(Wednesday) 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Organised in partnership with Action Deafness, The Institute of Leadership & Management and Loughborough University.
